Description
I had the privilege of painting Griselda, Arkaroola en plein air on an art retreat in 2017 alongside some phenominal artists who inspired my style at this time. Peter Griffen had a clear influence on my colourful approach, the bold tonal shapes work are contrasted with the wispy atmosphere and depicited in the clouds and sky. Peter's use of acrylic through the application of underlying colour and then building layers of contrast over the top is seen here. Griselda makes her initial introduction as you enter Arkaroola, her majestic stature is enhanced by the surrounding mineral rich tones of the earth. This impression is to her right and beyond. This work is part of a Tryptich 3 of 3.
